Scout & Whistle was established in 2012 in Portland, OR, by artists Vanessa Boer and Darren Pasemko. It began as an illustration and houseware design company and has since evolved into a playful retail line of small batch stationery and pattern design featuring illustrations by Vanessa. Darren maintains his role as in-house sounding board.

Outside of working on Scout & Whistle, Vanessa is an illustrator and craft stylist.
